No BlackBerry Storm: Only Bold, Pearl or Curve

The lead-up to the launch of the Blackberry Storm in the UK and U.S has been massively publicized and last weekend was the first with Blackberry’s first touch screen in consumer hands, well that’s the idea.

The reality was thousands of BlackBerry Storm chasers not finding the latest Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) phone in smaller Vodafone stores, but instead ended up with a choice from the BlackBerry Curve, Pearl or Bold.

This may not be a surprise to many who have experienced Apple iPhone release days, it’s common for demand to be more than is possible to make and with the Storm being marketed very well, we expect shortages. Although Vodafone said it was a “logistic problem” why smaller stores did not get any of the 70,000 Blackberry Storm’s ordered.
