Finally New Voice Search: Google Mobile app for iPhone
By: Peter Chubb | November 18, 2008 | Leave a CommentWe had hoped that the new version of the Google Mobile app for the iPhone would have been out over the weekend, but now the new voice search version is finally available. The long wait was worth it, how cool is it that you can just bring your iPhone to your face, speak your search and Google will search for what you spoke.
I have had a few goes with it now, and 70 percent of my searches came back correct, but it is extremely good for the first version. I deiced to do a few searches of Hollywood stars, Angelina Jolie came back fine, so did Daniel Craig, it also came up accurate for his latest movie Quantum of Solace.
There were a few things that it kept getting wrong, but maybe it is my accent. A good feature that I like is when you want to search it narrows down your results by the phones location, extremely handy if you are looking for a bar or restaurant.
