We have done a number of hands on reviews for backup batteries for the iPhone, but the Power Slider for iPhone™ 3G is something totally different. This is the first time that a backup battery can expand the life of your battery as well as offer protection for your Apple iPhone.
The Power Slider for iPhone™ 3G doubles the life of your phones battery, and still has the ability to sync without the need to remove the case. The low profile design is innovative, as it still offers functionality, something that you do not get from other backup batteries or cases.
Some of the features include durable, lightweight hard-shell construction, yet soft to touch, 5 light LED battery status indicator, compatible with USB charging ports. The Power Slider for iPhone 3G goes on from November 18, 2008.

Not sure about this. The bottom seems to cover the speakers. If so it will eliminate your speaker phone capabilities and plug up your ringer. Nice concept, but it appears the speakers were overlooked.
One more thing, what case could one use after you attach this thing?
It adds length to the phone and thickness as well. Im not sure if there
is anything out there case wise that can handle the thickness and the
length with the powerslider attached to my iphone.
I guess this is one of those things where the old saying come into play,
“You can’t have your cake and eat it too”
In response to S Jackson’s comment about a case big enough to protect the Power Slider, I wish to point out that the Power Slider IS THE CASE.
I realize that the power slider is a protective case for the iphone
But i dont carry my iphone in my pocket,i carry my phone in a case
Attached to my belt. This what i was refering too
Some online research on the case is necessary before you comment, S Jackson. There are many available pics of the bottom of the case that clearly show a double row of holes that will act as sound ports. This might also keep dust and stuff from clogging the speaker grills on the phone. On the case itself, I’m one of those who will probably try this case, since I use the phone a lot during the day.
This is one of the best looking products I have seen for the Iphone. It’s not very bulky and it’s smooth and sleek looking. Unlike the Mophie and Fastmac, It’s protects all corners of the phone. I already ordered a Fastmac, now I need to buy this Power Slider as it is way better looking.
I bought this today. It charges suspiciously fast but nonetheless charged my iPhone all the way. Regarding the speakerphone/mic I’ve had no complaints so far. There are “ports” for both on the bottom that allow audio in/out.
I have only had the Incase Power Slider for a day now but it seems like my signal strength is affected by the case. Has anyone else noticed issues with their signal strength with this case?
