If you are in France at the moment, then you might just be lucky enough to see a new Asus Eee PC 901, with a faster SSD as well as a bigger battery. The updated model now comes with a high-speed 16GB solid state drive (SSD), as well as the bigger six-cell 8700mAh battery.
The larger battery should give users at least 8 hours on their laptop. There is an Italian version of this called the Eee PC 901 GO, so it looks as if the new laptop is making its way across Europe. This 8.9 inch laptop comes with either Windows XP or Linux.
Having the newer 16GB SSD is great for the small laptops, it is one of the fastest drives in the market. This has been achieved by a new embedded controller chip. It is thought that Asus will introduce the new SSD and the bigger battery across their Eee PC range.
