World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King biggest UK launch

World of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King was launched last week, and was the biggest entertainment launch in UK history. The online game has already been doing very well, and was a much needed boast for the WoW franchise for the upcoming Holiday Season.

The Lich King, the latest MMORPG expansion from Blizzard has already outsold the previous record holder, which was also another World of Warcraft add-on, beating it by a 1,000 units.

When the Wrath Of The Lich King was launched at HMV on London’s Oxford Street, fans were there, many in costume. Both Activision and Blizzard were also on hand to supply some entertainment, in the way of actors taking on roles of some of the characters from the game.
