World of Warcraft causes boy to suffer epileptic seizure

There are reports that a boy collapsed and then went into convulsions after playing World of Warcraft for 24 hours straight. The 15-year-old schoolboy was playing the latest upgrade for World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King.

Doctors had told the boy’s father that his bodily system was disrupted, due to a lack of sleep and food. Also the prolonged period of concentration while playing the game was also a factor.

The boy along with his six friends was gathered at his home in Laholm, western Sweden. They started playing on Saturday, and the boy collapsed around 2PM on Sunday. Thankfully, the boy is expected to make a full recovery, but it does stress how dangerous it can be to spend too long playing video games.

World of warcraft did not cause the boy to suffer a siezure as so easily stated in the title of the article stupidity did. Playing the game for 24 hours straight was the boys foolish decision everyone in the game has the ability to log off at any time they want. Blame the boy not the game or better yet blame the parents.
