By: Peter Chubb | November 17, 2008 | Leave a CommentLast week we told you about the Tectoy Zeebo 3G gaming console; however there was not much information to go by. Thankfully there are more details available now, on the games console that will launch in Brazil.
The first bit of information is that Tectoy is teaming up with cellular carrier Claro, as their 3G network will be able to cope with the constant demand of 3G from the Zeebo games consoles. The Zeebo 3G will use an ARM CPU running at 528MHz, 160MB RAM, 1GB NAND flash memory, 128MB DDR SDRAM and 32MB stacked DDR SDRAM, Qualcomm Adreno 130 graphics core and run on a BREW-based OS.
The Tectoy Zeebo 3G is thought to be marketed to the growing middle class of developing countries, which will launch in Brazil first. The games console will cost 599BRL, that’s about $264, with games costing from 7-30BRL, that’s $3 to £13.
