Netgear XAVB10 $149.99, HDXB111 $169.99 Powerline Adapters Shipping

Netgear has finally pulled their finger out and started shipping their brand new powerline adapters, the two new powerline adapters are the Netgear XAVB10 and the Netgear HDXB111.

These adapters were announced January 2008 at CES, so at last they have started to ship these little beauties. The Netgear XAVB101 Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter is the basic model based on the HomePlug AV standard and then you have the better and of course more expensive Netgear UPA-based HDXB111 Powerline HD Plus Ethernet Adapter Kit.

The HDXB111 says it all in the model name really, yes it capable of transmitting HD footage, you can buy both of these before the Christmas Holidays. These adaptors are plug ‘n play, the XAVB101 will cost you $149.99 and the HDXB111 will cost you $169.99. Read the full press release over on Engadget.
