Barack Obama will not be taking a Blackberry Storm to Oval Office
By: Peter Chubb | November 17, 2008 | Leave a CommentWe all know that President-elect Barack Obama is addicted to his Blackberry 8700c, and that we all assume that he will upgrade to the BlackBerry Storm on November 21. There have been many photos of Obama with his trusty Blackberry 8700c, but once he becomes the President of the United States, this could cause a problem.
Once he takes up his role as Commander in Chief, he has to obey strict email laws and traditions, which means that a new Blackberry Storm would be banned from the Oval office. Obama will have to make some sacrifices after all.
Most Presidents in the past have always liked to have paper copies of reports, but Barack Obama has always preferred them to be sent to his BlackBerry, so that he can read them in email form. This could cause a huge security risk. Aides to the president-elect have said that Obama could become the first president of the Unites States to have a laptop at the Oval office desk.
