10 things the Blackberry Storm has and iPhone does not
Filed under: Cell Phones, Handsets

Whenever a new phone comes out that has a host of cool features as well as a touch-screen, then it will always be compared to the king of them all, the Apple iPhone. The BlackBerry Storm is no exception, but does the latest handset from RIM have what it takes to take the fight to the iPhone 3G.
Although no one has the answer to that, RIM have done all they can to try and do the impossible, and the BlackBerry Storm has some great features which could trouble the iPhone G. RIM did a great job when thinking what features they wanted to add, and the Storm have at least 10 features that the iPhone 2G and 3G does not.
The ten things different with the BlackBerry Storm are, better camera, 3.2 compared to 2 megapixel, Clickable touch-screen with feedback, stereo Bluetooth, Expandable microSD memory, ability to copy and paste, Microsoft Office compatible, higher screen resolution, Verizon Network, better than AT&T, GPS with Turn by Turn Directions, and finally a removable battery.
Which phone does it for you, the BlackBerry storm or the Apple iPhone?

RIM BlackBerry Storm 9500 news: touch screen with springs

i am no way saying the iphone is beteer than the RIM, but you forget to mention that the RIM does not have Wifi, which why is attractie to many people, including myself. the iphone touch screen is more receptive, hence rim using 2 keys per letter, resulting in you havng to learn where the damn letters are.
on the plus side the only think that the rim has that i am waiting for the iphone to have it video recording.
the rim seems like a good contender but lacking the features that i want, as is the iphone.
why do you compare networds whe you talk abotu the phone? that shows naivity that only americans read your website. if that is the case i will stop reading it.
In response to the comment above the 9530 can be adjusted between suretype and qwerty so your comment about the two keys per letter is obsolete. And the comparison of the networks is totally valid being the fact that Verizon’s network(I hate to say it) is head and shoulders above Att as far as call quality and data speeds nation wide some area my very. And as far as wifi I believe that the gsm model of the phone(9500) does have wifi. I really want to see a comparison between a 9500 and iphone 3g to have a more even out comparison as far as network wise
iPhone from Apple has developed a new standard for the smartphone industry. With it’s amazing touchscreen, full featured html browser, google maps with GPS, enterprise email support, ipod, stocks, weather, calendar, application store, etc etc, it has wooed millions of people from across the globe.
But even with it’s extensive feature list, there are a few key elements missing from the iPhone, some of which the BlackBerry Storm may do better than the iPhone thereby making it a safer bet than the iPhone… Yep, I meant safer. I have my reasons… and here’s why http://smartphoneguru.wordpress.com/2008/11/18/blackberry-storm-a-safer-bet-than-the-iphone/
I can’t wait to get myself the Storm…
