If I was to choose the best gadget that I ever had, then it would have to be the Apple iPhone. As with all things there is always a down side, and the iPhone does have a few. The most common problem is with the battery life, the charge does not last all that long.

This can cause a problem when you are out and about, you could be waiting for an important phone call and that is when it happens, your battery dies on your iPhone. Thankfully there is a solution, and that is to get yourself a backup battery, but with so many on the market, it can be a daunting task finding the right one.

Last week we did a hands on review of the standard Richard Solo Backup Battery for iPhone / iPod. It was a great product, but it would only charge you iPhone to 80 percent of the power. There is a better choice, and that is the RichardSolo 1800 iPhone backup battery.

The RichardSolo 1800 iPhone backup battery has an 1800 mAh of capacity, this is enough to completely charge your phone, as well as have some power left in reserve for another charge.

The backup battery is compatible with the iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch and iPod Nano. The device is not just a backup battery; it also comes with an Ultra-bright LED white flashlight as well as a laser light. I think that having a flashlight is a great idea, but I do not understand the need for a laser light.

Included with the RichardSolo 1800 iPhone backup battery are two latching mechanisms, one for the 2G and another for the 3G iPhone, this makes sure that both are attached securely together. Looking at the RichardSolo 1800, it looks like a small version of the iPhone.

The RichardSolo 1800 backup battery has many good points and just one bad point. The good side is that your iPhone will never run out of power again, and knowing that there is still enough power for another charge, is great. The one downside is that the charger is a bit on the large side, so when connected to your iPhone or iPod, it is almost double the length.
