
Nearly 25m Microsoft Xbox 360′s Installed
By: Alan Ng | November 14, 2008 | Leave a CommentMindy Mount, CFO for Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices Division has said it expects to hit a global milestone when talking about the Xbox 360.
When speaking at the BMO Capital Markets Interactive Entertainment Conference on Thursday, she said, ‘By the end of this month, we expect our global installed base to reach 25 million units, surpassing that of the first Xbox’.
That is quite an impressive stat when you look back to its initial sales, she also remained ‘optimistic’ about the upcoming festive season with regards to sales of the Xbox 360. Her comments also came with the latest NPD figures where sales reached 371,000 units compared to the PS3’s 190,000.
