Google Switch: this could have been the T-Mobile G1?

There was a time long ago in a phone store far away when we did not have the iPhone 3G, BlackBerry Bold, T-Mobile G1, Nokia N95, or even the Samsung Omnia. Back then a couple of guys had heard that Apple was looking at developing a new handset, so they thought they would come up with the ultimate hoax, enter the Google Switch.

The guys wanted to build a new kind of handset, but knew that they did not have the resources to do so. They did have one thing on their side though, and that was a creative mind, so they built a concept of their new phone.

The Google Switch as they were to call it had all the things that we take for granted today, touch screen, service-side processor power, and a slim cool looking design. There was only one thing for them to do, and so they turned to their 3D designing software, and that was when the Google Switch was born.

The thing that I do not understand is, why did Google not pick up on the design and work with HTC, this could have been what the T-Mobile G1 could have looked like. Instead w has an ugly handset that wishes it was an iPhone.

Seriously? You think this looks better than the G1? Man, there’s a bunch of haters out there. The G1 is an awesome phone. So is the iPhone. The two can co-exist. Sheesh.
