We had a lot of feedback regarding LittleBigPlanet levels being deleted for no reason last week. Well as expected, it was all down to IP contained from other games such as Sonic and Mario. As a result of this, Sony has now issued a statement laying down a few ground rules.
In the statement given, Sony said ‘The vast majority of content uploaded to date has been fun and suitable for all of our community members. In a very few cases we have upheld complaints regarding unsuitable content or infringement of intellectual property, with less than 0.5% of levels actively moderated as a result of complaints from other users.’
So it looks like from now on content that is created within the world of LBP will be closely moderated in future, so you gamers out there better take care not to step on anyone else toes or it might result in your latest, greatest sackboy creation being taken away from you again..And no-one wants to see that.

Sony is deleting MUCH MORE than copyright infringement. If someone complains about a level using the Good Grief mechanism (aka snitch on your friends mechanism) - then it goes into a list.
Many levels are being deleted without copyright infringement or other bad content. The only explanation is that Sony / Media Molecule doesn’t have the manpower to examine each level and determine its appropriateness - instead they peformed a mass deletion last Sunday/Monday and most likely will continue to do so based upon snitches or other mal-intented people determine for whatever reason in getting a level offline.
People have gone to Sam - Sony’s representative - to try to get their levels back online - and he has not looked at the levels or attempted to fix the problem - just more evidence they don’t have the manpower or good faith to help their community which is giving them so much money for their release - and authors who are increasing its value.
Basically they are screwing their community.
This is about the worst thing they could have done with LBP, especially early on. It hinges on its community so much more than most games and if this continues it would be discouraging.
Sony suck big time. Remove them from off line but don’t delete them from my machine.
