Call of Duty 4 was the war game to beat last year, but the game did not make an appearance on the Nintendo Wii. This year that has changed, as the latest game from the franchise, Call of Duty World at War has made it on to the biggest selling games console.
IGN have decided to do a review on the game, and see how well the transition to the Wii is. Most of us know that the Nintendo Wii has never taken itself seriously when it comes to action games, but things are about to change with Call of Duty World at War, the Wii is all grown up.
Wii fans will be shocked that they will be watching such a game on their systems, as the games story telling across all the consoles is just brutal. Tweaking the controls to play the game on the Wii takes some time, but it is worth it in the end.

I think the wii version is a great game. Graphically it pushes the wii pretty hard especially with effects. The character models could be better, but overall its a great game. The controls are much improved from call of duty 3 and I felt it was more accurate as well. I did have a problem everyonce in awhile nailing someone right in the head and have them keep firing like nothing happened. I ran into that problem a few times. With the great improvements they made this year on the wii I am anxious for infinity ward to give the wii a go next year. Up until now I think world at war is the best fps on wii. With my #2 corruption.
My friends and I hav recently been arguing about what system is the best. I think wii kickcs ass!!! COD proved that wii can be used for games that r actually fun
Yeah…can’t say u Agee with saying the wii is better than the xbox360.I am a long time fan of cod,and my brother was not aloud to playthe 360version so we got
Him the wii version and I for one was disapionted with the over all controls, better than last year but needs improvement. I agree the graphics pushed the console a little hard.Although their is a much better gaming atmosphere then on xbox. Not
As many hardcore players whoCus around children. Wow that as a workout typig on an iPhone LOL
K so im going to be honest this game looks really good on my buddies wii, deff makes game play alot more fun and enjoyable, but why would the case say 2 player on the remote, when u cant auctually play it 2 player? i dont own a wii, but thats weird, and the wii cant seem to connect to the call of duty online multiplayer, if anyone knows whats up with this ,,, send me some info please,,,
iam unable to get a match on call of duty W.a.w.
did you get any answers?
dude you have to have a wireless router and the wii has to be wirelessly conected to it. lucky for all users that the wii has a wireless conecter insaled in it. good luck and remeamber that to conect you have to go to the wii setings.
i have the wii one and it sucks no zombie mode no death cards no split screen no serch and destroy no ground war, war, and a whole lot more i want an update done to the game! yeah it only supporyts 8 players so i ican fight only 4 people thats sucks too whole game averages a 2 for taking of the best content!
i only ever had a wii so cant speek for the othe game consoles but i am addicted to this game may be a novice at al these games but i like it .
I have to say the wii version is graphically great for the wii-it’s almost as good as the 360 version. What makes it unique is that it’s so realistic as you point the wii Zapper and blow the heads off the Japanese it’s this that actually sets it apart from the 360 and PS3 versions of the game.
Ok here is the deal, do not buy this game for the Nintendo Wii if you intend to play this extensively without frustration. Why you may ask? Well I was a recent owner of a Nintendo Wii, I thankfully still had a warranty on it, so I sold all my games (including CoD:WaW) and returned my nintendo wii and bought an xbox360 and 2 games. Never in my life have I seen such an empty and non-everlasting game in my life such as CoD:WaW. Being a huge CoD fan online PC and 360 versions I was extremely dissapointed in the Multiplayer options and the lack of zombie mode for even a private party. All I can say now is, I have had it made, now I’m playing gears of war 2 and I’m planning on buying Modern Warfare 2 for the 360 console. Have fun waving your wrist in the air shooting germans on a crappy console.
CoD WaW is a huge disappointment. Never mind the game design, the Wii version is missing a ton of stuff than the xbox360/ps3 versions! You only get to play 2/3 of the multiplayer maps, you don’t get zombie mode, you don’t get to use tanks/vehicles in multiplayer, you can’t play split screen with your friends at home and there’s a game cap of only 8 players! Why do I have to pay full price for half a product?
