There is no getting away from the fact that the Acer Aspire One is not the best looking netbook, as there are cooler ones on the market. The computer maker has now launched the Acer Aspire One A110X Black Edition in Germany, and hopes that people will fall for the trick of just changing the color.
The limited edition model is exactly the same as the Acer Aspire One A110, it seems that their answer to try and sell more units is to spray the whole thing black. Now that must be what car makers need to do, if a car is not selling a model of a car, just spray it black and all their problems are solved.
The black edition is now for sale in Germany, with a price tag of €400, that’s about $500. This is a higher price than the old 110, which does seem a little odd. Why would anyone want to pay more for something that looks less?

Here are some reasons for the higher price:
- it’s running Windows® XP Home Edition instead of Linux\
- it comes with a 16GB Solid-State-Disk (instead of 8 GB)
- it has a 6 cell battery (5.200mAh) instead of 3 cell
