ZAP’s New Xebra electric car for 2009

There was no hiding the fact that Zap’s Xebra electric car range was a bit on the basic side, but that is about to change with the new 2009 model. The new Zap Xebra electric car was being shown at the Sacramento International Auto Show.

The new model is a five-door hatchback and has rear folding seats; the rear cargo area is now much larger than previous models, as well as giving you more headroom. It looks as though the Zap Xebra is now more of a normal car, than the previous models.

The 2009 model has a steel body, much better than the earlier model which was made from fiberglass. For all the information on the new electric car, visist http://www.zapworld.com/

  1. Thanks for the zap mention, but the picture shown is not the Xebra but a prototype of the Zap Alias.

  2. James says:

@ Alex Campbell - I think they must have corrected the error because that is the correct photo; that definitely is the Xebra in the photo.

  3. thanks for updating the photo
