Verizon reveals BlackBerry 9530 Storm Pricing
By: Peter Chubb | November 11, 2008 | Leave a CommentWe reported yesterday that the BlackBerry 9530 Storm was more expensive than we first thought, seems like those rumors were a bit wrong. We had learned that Verizon would be charging $299 on a 2-year contract, but the price is actually $219.99.
The price is not below the magic $199, but it is still a high price, one that will please AT&T and the Apple iPhone 3G. These pricing details come from Verizon’s testman pre-launch site, but there could still be some sort of mail-in rebate before the official launch date.
If you were to have the BlackBerry Storm without contract, then the latest handset from RIM will cost you $520. The testing server shows that the Storm will cost $290 on Verizon’s one-year contract.
