Optoma and Apple Bring DLP Pico Projector to Japan

We now have an official release date for the Texas Instruments’ DLP Pico projector, under the Optoma PK-101 branding. The device will be sold on the Apple Store in Japan from December 1, and will be delivered by December 19.

The DLP Pico Projector is the smallest and lightest projector, measuring 51 × 105 × 17-mm and weighs 120g. Being associated with Apple is a good move, and will do nothing but good for the small device.

The Optoma DLP Pico Projector will be sold with an iPhone / iPod kit and dock connector, and will cost ¥50,000 ($511). The projector can also work with non-Apple gear too. The battery will allow the projector to run for two hours before charges.
