Mirror’s Edge Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 Comparison Video

Mirrors Edge is a first person action-adventure video game that was released in November on the Sony Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. Developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE), it makes use of the Unreal Engine 3 and gives the gamer a chance to experience a unique first person adventure like never like seen before.

For those of you who are interested in those popular Sony PS3 / Xbox 360 video comparisons, there is a video over at videogamer.com which lets you judge for yourself which version is looking smoother, as well as a chance to check out some gameplay footage from one of the levels.

In my opinion there isn’t too much detail to tell the two platforms apart, although I did notice some slightly brighter textures and sharper colours in the Xbox 360 version, but that mainly was all I spotted. I was more impressed with how the game has been designed, with its unique and intuitive features; it’s no surprise that this game has received many positive reviews.

The colors are always bright on the Xbox because they think people like to see bright neon items in their games in order to differentiate them.

The PS3 has always had a more subdude color pallete. I like that.

The PS3 can push bright colors if it wants to. Don’t get met wrong on that. There are plenty of games on the PS3 with bright enough color pallete, but it fits the game.

I have to agree with the author. I think the 360 version has the advantage here, seems to me that it is slightly sharper and as a result I can distinguish more finer detail. Before you fanboys go and say I’m biased, I don’t own either of these system in comparison. Just the same, this does look like a good game.

Every game review on this site between x36-0 and ps3 alsways has “o the x360 is just slightly better because they are paying me to be biased”
