
Fujitsu’s New Thin 500GB Portable SATA Hard Drive

Hard drives cause a huge problem, as they want storage to be bigger, yet the device has to be smaller in size. Fujitsu have two new 500GB Portable SATA Hard Drive, just for laptops.
These new hard drives are thinner and use much less power than previous devices. The new drives are 2.5-in.-wide, 5,400 rpm Serial ATA drives and use two internal 250GB storage platters, rather than the usual three 166GB platters.
The previous drives were 12.5mm thick; these new hard drives are just 9.5mm think. Another added benefit, is that they use less power. These new generation Portable SATA Hard Drives from Fujitsu are now 53 percent more efficient.
