Activision say Wrath of the Lich King to be best seller
By: Alan Ng | November 11, 2008 | 1 CommentChristmas is fast approaching and as usual, the games industry is preparing for one of its most competitive periods of the year. After the phenomenal success of World of Warcraft, Activision (who are now fully merged with Blizzard) are preparing to unleash their add-on to the series in ‘Wrath of the Lich King’.
While Activision are obviously confident that their sequel will do well after its release, Mike Hickey from Janco Partners says that he believes that the upcoming title will enjoy success similar to that of the first game. He stated that after the launch the title will have a ‘sell-through of roughly 5 million units in the first month.’
It looks like an exciting time for you Warcraft fans out there, as all you 11 million subscribers in fact, await the release date of November 13th, which is just a few days away. Take a look at the whole article below for more information. I suspect the multiplayer servers to be overloaded by the time the game goes live for everyone, enjoy!
