Web 2.0 Summit and New Apple iPhone Features
By: Peter Chubb | November 7, 2008 | Leave a CommentThe Web 2.0 Summit took place in San Francisco, and they know that whatever they say or suggest will have a huge impact on our lives when it comes to technology and communication. The first piece of good news to come from it will benefit Apple iPhone users.
Ralph De La Vegas, the President and CEO of AT&T said that he is working with Apple, which will allow for iPhones to serve as a tethered wireless modem for laptops. This is something that tech heads have been hoping for since the iPhone was first released.
For those of you who do not know what tethering is, it allows a cell phone to be used as the primary internet device for your computer. At the moment there are two tethering options for iPhone, the first is NetShare and the other is iModem.
