Disney’s Mickey Mouse in Sony PS3’s LittleBigPlanet

To say that our first impressions of LittleBigPlanet on the Sony PS3 were “Fantastic” would be an understatement, although there are a couple of bugs, the game has been developed amazingly well.
Today we have some news or shall we say rumor about Little Big Planet, according to Quartermann (well known industry rumor monger) it looks like 2009 will bring a Disney content pack for LBP.
Playstation 3 owners that love a little Disney and more specifically “Mickey Mouse” will love this upcoming expansion (if it happens). Quartermann published this inside information in the latest issue of EGM. The content pack may include a playable Mickey Mouse classic Steamboat Willie for LBP, now that’s got to be a must have.

That would be cool for the younger audience.
Not for me though.
I bet we will see many such expansion packs for Little big Planet. The thing is I bet we will see many user created ones before we official ones, although Sony will move to stop them being release to publicly. I bet someone smart will figure a way round Sony control.
Through if these packs are sold cheaply, they could make a hell of a lot of money in the long run.
I think we now can see why Sony put some financial muscle and resources into this, given the potential revenue it could create.
Music downloads, to incorporate into user created levels, films tie ins, endless content download packs. User selling their own created levels with sony taking a cut.
