Seagate developing hybrid SSD’s (Solid State Disks)

Seagate is a bit late to the whole Solid State Drives party, but their CEO has said that they are now working on their own line of SSD’s. Bill Watkins has been talking to Pocket-Lint, and has been discussing about what we can expect from them once they start to put their resources behind SSD technology.
In the past, it seems that Seagate has had a few issue with SSD’s, Watkins said that one of these issues is down to a performance issue with the read/ write cycles SSD deliver. The main problem is the price; SSD’s are much more expensive than standard hard drives.
Seagate might just have a solution though, as they are looking at technology that will combine two kinds of NAND SDD solutions. Read the full interview from Pocket-Lint
