When it comes to games console sales, Nintendo Wii is in a league of its own, with the Sony PS3 and the Xbox 360 bringing up the rear. If you were to ask Activision Blizzard, they state that we will see more PS3 growth than we will with the Xbox 360 in the west during 2008.
Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith was the one who supplied his projections for console growth, for the U.S. and Europe. Griffith said that the Xbox 360 should have sold at least six to seven million consoles by the end of the year.
He believes that Sony PlayStation 3 sales should be somewhere near eight million units by the end of 2008. Both Xbox 360 and PS3 sales are a long way of the 15 million Wii Sales by the end of the year. Griffith also believes that handhelds will grow by 24 million units.

Itsis a shame Activision is in such a mess.
Hopefully it will recover.
