Windows Vista SP2 beta download available: feature details
By: Peter Chubb | November 5, 2008 | 1 CommentAs we know, Microsoft is working hard on their next Operating System, Windows 7, but that does not mean that they have forgotten about Vista. Windows Vista is about to make the jump from SP1 to SP2, and this second service pack has a host of new features.
Windows Vista Service Pack 2 beta has been made available to a group of Technology Adoption Program customers, where they will put the update through its paces to see how the OS performs. There are a number of improvements in the new service pack, as SP1 still did not fix a number of problems that has dogged Windows Vista.
Some of the features include Windows Search 4.0, allowing faster and more relevant searches, Bluetooth 2.1 Feature Pack and exFAT file system now supports UTC timestamps. Let us hope that Windows Vista SP2 beta performs well, so that it will be made available for public download soon.
