T-Mobile G1 tethering solution: it works

The T-Mobile G1 has not been on the market long, and already people have found a few things wrong with it. The major problem that people did not like about the first Google Android handset was the lack of tethering.
Well it has not taken long, but it seems like a tethering solution has been found, it is not elegant, but it works. The solution allows T-Mobile G1 owners to share their data connection via USB, it is tethering in its basic form, but it still does the job.
You will have to put in a bit of time to get things running perfectly, but once it is all up and running, that will be time well spent. The process can be a bit tricky, so you need to read the instructions carefully.
