Gears of War 2 early release at 7-11 stores

One of the writers from Game Girl received a call from a friend stating that he had managed to purchase a copy of Gears of War 2 for his Xbox 360 at a local 7-11 store; she was a little surprised, as the game has not been officially released yet.

She decided to check his story out, so hit four local 7-11 stores, she came up empty handed. She decided to push on and decided to go to the same 7-11 store, where her friend had got his. After speaking to the clerk, he looked under the counter, and there they were three more copies of Gears of War 2.

Naturally she had to tell her friends of her find, and that set the ball in motion as they started their own hunt for Gears of War 2 games at 7-11 stores. It seems that these stores are not sure on the official launch day for the latest Xbox 360 game, one thing is sure, I bet 7-11 is getting a lot of custom now.
