Florida and California Election Results: If Obama then it’s over
By: Daniel Chubb | November 5, 2008
It’s almost time to name a democratic victory, although this is not 100 percent yet, Barack Obama is likely to win Florida and California after looking at the election results and 2008 electoral map.
While Florida is very close it still looks like 51 percent to Barack Obama and this is likely to increase more to Obama after looking at some of the precincts left.
Electoral votes per these two states are 55 for California and 27 for Florida. You can see current presidential polls and election results on the map below.
Obama has built a commanding lead and his election as 44th president of the United States is beginning to look inevitable, according to the way the pundits are talking.
Obama is immediately formally projected to win in Iowa; if he doesn’t it’ll be a big upset. Analysts say McCain did not help his cause in Iowa by barely concealing his opposition to ethanol subsidies and a farm bill; he also hardly showed up there to contest it during the Republican primaries. But the state backed Bush in 2004 so it’s a turnover.
Some voters are asking who is winning Obama or McCain? Looking at the map below I think it’s kind of obvious. Currently sitting at 207 to Obama and 129 to McCain.
