First Impressions: Little Big Planet on Sony PS3
By: Daniel Chubb | November 5, 2008 | 4 CommentsFollowing on from seeing Little Big Planet at the Stuff show we thought it’s about time we spent some hours playing the Sony PS3 game. With no real expectations other than it’s meant to be a really good game, we gave it a go.
Our first impressions of LittleBigPlanet were of laughter and how both professionally finished and fun the game is. From the moment LBP started it showed how well made the game was, the introduction is one of the best and most helpful we have seen in a video game.

The way the developers take you through the how to’s of LBP is impressive to say the least, if you walked in a room when someone was in the middle of the game you may wonder what’s going on and not quite “get it”. Start from the beginning with the introduction and you will be hooked within 5 minutes.
We love the 3D environment and the way you can jump to the back and front of the scenery, the controls are easy and changing Sackboys facial expressions or body postures is both fun and extremely funny.
Having a Playstation EYE camera also makes things more fun, you can capture crazy images via the camera and put them in different shape stickers, these can then end up stuck all around the different levels. Get the crazy faces going just like we did.

This is just our first impressions of Little Big Planet, we will give you more soon. If you have LBP then leave a comment with your first impressions.
