Election News: Black Panthers at polling places on video

By: Daniel Chubb | November 5, 2008 | 4 Comments

In more 2008 election news, we are hearing that Black Panthers party members are at around 300 polling places in full uniform, these are apparently battleground states and some news sites are reporting that they are intimidating voters.

You can see a video below that shows two Black Panther members at the Philadelphia polling place and one was carrying a nightstick; police made one of them leave the premises.

What do you make of the video below, is this just another way for certain sites to slate Barack Obama or is there some sort of truth to what Kansas City news is trying to establish. Have a watch of the video, visit the read link below for more information and then let us know what you think. Is this more smear, just harmless or is there more to it?

There were only two of them and at only one place. One was working as an official polster while the other was his idiot friend with a nightstick and huge mouth.

There are no reports of hundreds of them (beyond that idiot with no journalistic integrity- who works for the kansas city star).

The man who is reporting this huge black panther turnout…well he may find his articles no longer welcome at the Star. For while it is a right leaning publication, they are no yellow rag.

I live in Kansas city and know people at that magazine. I will be making phone calls and heads will roll.

So, if 2 skinheads showed up in uniform, would they not be intimidating? What is the difference? They were not there to protect the black voters, they were there to intimidate the white voters. They should have been arrested.

The accusation was of organized voter intimidation. What we have here are two idiots. Hardly the wide spread organized democrat voter manipulation that the right wing media is making it out to be. Just two idiots.

On another note, the black panthers were formed in order to protect the black community from the systematic police brutality prevelant at the time. Sure they went a little bit too far and kinda took a racist turn… but comparing them to skinheads…

Skinheads kill for the sake of “protecting the earth from the mud races” , believe in a comming race war and generaly are into violence. When was the last time you read this headline “Black Panther shoots up Jewish school” or “black panthers riot” How about “Black Panthers plan assasination”. Come to think of it…when was the last time you heard anything about them?

On the street, walking to my bus stop at night, I have stood up to more men (black and white) than that and bigger than these two are, and made them back down.

A little white boy thinks he’s a journalist. Why not call these police, if they’re “intimidating people”? The guy with the stick FELL SILENT after being confronted. That’s scary?

The guy filming sounds nervous and shifty. Is this the supposed “real America” that “stands up to the terrorists”? I thought liberals were the “cowards.”

Do Republicans really want to start sounding like lily-livered cowards, scared of some black men, just to whine about this election? Do they really want to start sounding like Squeaky Fromme yelling at the jury who convicted Charles Manson? Do they want to talk themselves right into a mental illness? If they do, then John McCain is wrong – the failure is theirs, not his.
