Barack Obama Elected 44th President of the United States
By: Daniel Chubb | November 5, 2008 | Leave a CommentAfter following the 2008 elections for the last day we could see things moving almost right away to one mans victory, it was clear from the start and almost certain just 4 hours ago that Barack Obama would become the first U.S. black President.
We can now confirm that Barack Obama has been elected the 44th President of the United States, in his acceptance speech to around 100,000 supporters he said, “Change has come to America”.
Millions of people around the world see Barack Obama as something fresh, and while race should not come into it, this is being seen as an “Evolution of America” and shows that anyone can make it in this land of opportunity.
In McCain’s concession speech he said, “I urge all Americans who supported me to come together and bridge our differences to restore our prosperity, defend security and leave our children and grandchildren a better world than ours”. This shows what a great man McCain is, but we feel the right man won the job of United States President.
On January 20 next year, Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th US President and will take over from President George Bush. This is when the real work begins for Obama.
