Xbox 360’s Gears of War 2 vs Sony PS3’s Resistance 2

Here we have a video comparison of Gears of War 2 on the Xbox 360 against Resistance 2 on the Sony PS3. The video compares a number of things on the game, from the all important graphics, trailers and the multiplayer aspect of the game.
With Resistance 2 for the Sony PlayStation 3 out today, November 4th, and Gears of War 2 for the Xbox 360 out on November 7th, both games are getting a lot of interest. A number of gamers have said that Resistance 2 offers more content than GoW 2, but there is more to a game than just the content.
PS3 owners will swear by Resistance 2, as Xbox 360 owners will swear by Gears of War 2, the lucky gamers are those who own both consoles, then they will offer an unbiased opinion as to what both games have to offer.

It was exactly the same when resistance 1 was realeased and gears 1 was realeased all i herd (and this was mostly on xbox live) is gears is better than resistance and when i asked them if they had played the other game most of the time all i got is “NO why would i its on an insuperior console” that is all that most people with one console seem to do they just ignore the rest of the competition and big up their own and abuse the other consoles when they havent used/played it.
its hard to compare consoles as well now as most third party developers bring out games and they look exactly the same for each console (mirrors edge being a good example). both of the demos i downloaded look exactly the same.
It’s been proven that Metacritic is a flawed system. Fanboys flood the vote tally and stuff the boxes. Xbots recently did this with LBP. The two main reasons why Resistance 2 is better are the online portion dwarfs GOW. Also GOW has a mediocre story, cheesy dialogue, and characters that you never really connect with.

lol, so maybe im not “no one” cause i dont see nothing new in GOW, maybe it was your first game, maybe you also think HALO its the first fps game in history and was something that no one had seen before in a game.
As VinTheDean say “All reviews are biased in one way or another”, cause every review was made by a human, so unbiased is unreal.
Whats really wrong is people talking what they dont know…
how can any one can talk about a game that barely go for sale or dont even be released?
and even after the game was released or reviewed…what??? just a few minutes of playing it and you know all about it… i bet the reviewers dont even finish the game before write about it, just to be the “first” to review it
as a truly gamer i can tell you that some of my all time favorites games werent joy at first, dont like them, it was just after a second try that started enjoying them, and i still play them with joy.
on the other side, i can also tell you that many games that liked at first when to oblivion.
i dont like that all hype-makeup, all that game vs game, all the biased-reviews prior game release, all that nonsense talk… but most just dont understand the people who need someone opinion to make or validate their own, only a moron base their buying decisions from the opinion of someone who dont know
It doesn’t really matter what innovations a game made on the previous version, what really matters is what the game has to offer me or you as a gamer. Would you say the same thing if a “NEW” version of pong were to come out with power ups and a high score? It has made advancements on the previous version, didn’t it? Other games have made similiar advancements years ago? That doesn’t really matter though because this game did it now… right? NO!!!
Resistance is a good game I’m sure, but you can’t say it deserves higher marks because it did things a little differently than the previous version. I havn’t played Gears of War 2 or Resistance 2 but I will when I can afford to purchase them, I will but until then, I’ll hold my judgement and read the reviews. And not just the ones from PSM or OXM rather, I’ll read many reviews from different sources, kind of like metacritic. One review may be biased, but if you compile all of the scores, you’ll see something closer to the truth.
Individual consumers can only crank up the user rating on metacritic, they can’t touch the Pro review scores. If you don’t trust the gamers that stick with the reviewers. Peronally, I stick with the reviewers and glance at the users score merely out of interest. Flawed? yes! Then again, So is every other system of a similar nature.
@ every one who has gone referenced metacritic you guys really need to think a little hardwer resistance 2 score is based on 13 reviews gears of war 2 is based on 25. any one who know simple math will understand why that is not a valid reference.
Plus you should All STFU if you have not played the games both games most of you people are basing everything blindly on faith. I would actually like to play poker with some of you guys just to show you how stupid it is to bet so much on something you never seen or experienced for your self.
actually plenty of people have played rs2 on all the beta`s. they all love it,rs2 is the better game by far but gow2 will sell more due to the 360install base,gow2 would be crushed in sales if the ps3 was priced the same as the 360 lets be clear about that.
Epic makes Gears… Nuff said! Look to metacritic you whiney sony fools. Reality hits you in the face. Gears is better and always will be.
ya when gears only had 14 reviews up it was at a 97 score. resistance will only go down in score. As for the moron talking about blueray space…your a dumbass. in a majority of games in general the 360 puts out better graphics because of its pc background and ease of programming. sony made bad hardware decisions…its gettin outperformed by a system that came out a year before it. Have fun staying in last place you sony hos. pathetic.
metacritics pro reviews you tools NOT the fanboy where anyone can vote. resistance will only go lower as more come in.
