Tony Fadell who was one of the people, who helped bring the iPod to life, is leaving Apple after seven years with the company. Fadell helped turn Apple’s fortunes, as there is no denying that the iPod has been one of the hottest gadgets in that time.
Fadell will be replaced by Mark Papermaster, former IBM executive. It was first though that Papermaster would head up the chip design team at Apple, as he was one of IBM’s experts on chip technology. However it is now thought that Papmaser will head up Apple’s music player division.
This is an important part of Apple’s portfolio, so Mark has a big job ahead of him. Tony Fadell has left Apple for personal reasons, but it is not certain what those reasons are.
