Fujitsu Updates LifeBook’s: New U820 and P1630

Today Fujitsu released news about updates to its LifeBook lines, specifically the tiny P-series tablet and the UMPC-like U series LifeBook. The updates and design of these LifeBooks are for the user that wants a netbook-sized option but with stronger hardware features.

The Fujitsu LifeBook U810 has been upgraded to a U820; new features include integrated Garmin Mobile software and a GPS receiver. The four-cell battery option should give you 7.5 hours and the 3.5 hours with a two-cell battery. The new LifeBook U820 price starts at $1,049 and is available now.

For users that do not like a small 5.6-inch screen on the U810 can choose the new 8.9-inch LifeBook P1630. This portable computer is an update to the P1620, features include optional Bluetooth connectivity and solid-state drive, a 1.3-megapixel Webcam as standard, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, and an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 for ultra low voltage computing. The P1630 starts at $2,179 and with a high-capacity battery will run for 6.2 hours.
