Compressed Air Car: could this save the planet
By: Peter Chubb | November 3, 2008 | Leave a CommentThe compressed air car is just the latest in a line of developments that is aimed at reducing our need for the dependency of fossil fuels. The Air Car can be solely powered by air, or combined with a mix of gas, diesel or ethanol, much like the hybrids vehicles on our roads today.
Tata Motors has already signed an agreement with MDI to continue in the research of compressed air cars. It is hoped that these cars will hit the market in 2009 and will be called the Tata OneCAT, and a lot is expected from the car.
Like the first hybrid, the first compressed air car will start off a little shaky but it is able to build upon the foundation of the hybrid. There are so many options for an alternative fuel source for cars, is the compressed air car going to be the one?
