Mirror’s Edge Sony PS3 vs Xbox 360 Gameplay Video

Mirror’s Edge demo is now available for the Sony PS3 and the Xbox 360, and we have found a gameplay video of the both of them side by side, just to see how different the two versions perform. One thing is certain; the demo for both will blow your mind.

The first person building hopper certainly has some cool characters; one of the best has to be the Asian badass skater girl. Anyway down to the subject at hand, which version performs the best? From the start you will notice how much brighter the PS3 version is over the darker Xbox version.

The Xbox 360 version of Mirror’s Edge has a shiny look, where the PS3 has tackled the game with calmer colors. If you were to ask Sony PS3 fans, they would say that it plays best on their console, as it looks better and it supports sixaxis balancing. If you were to ask Xbox 360 gamers, they would tell you that their console can handle the colors much better. Either way, both consoles have the good and bad points; it is just a matter of choice.

They both looked good to me. As for the color, the Xbox seam extra dark while indoors or shadows and extra bright when the sun was hitting certain surfaces.

But I know that some idiot will call that small difference ’superiority’ over the PS3.

the ps3 version will have double the features and this is confirmed by ea thanks to blu-ray disks

right… and mirror’s edge is going to be such a great game, why…?

I don’t need this game when I can do all that for real, lol.

They both look nice but with any comparison and the only difference is down to the blacks or brightness, the answer to that is… change your tv settings. If I use my black corrector to its fullest, those blacks will be a lot blacker. But I only have it on its lowest setting as to me every dark shadows to lighter shadows in games are way to dark. For Gran Turismo 5 prologue, having the black corrector on full makes the black dashboard in the car all black and you can’t see the detail in the leather like when I turn off the black corrector or have it on its minimal setting.
Its supposed to be better the contrast ratio - better the blacks. But I think all thats bull. I’ve seen 5000:1 ratio and 10,000:1 ratio and the latter is much to dark in the blacks in games, you cannot see any details in the shadows.
