I have owned an Acer Aspire One for about 6 months and travel with it from the U.S. to East Asia and Southeast Asia. I can vouch for the calculated battery life of my Acer Aspire One and that is about 1 hour and 30 minutes when I’m surfing the Internet over wi-fi and no other programs open. If, I am listening to music, surfing the Internet over wi-fi and working on a Microsoft Office document, my battery life with the 3-cell lithium battery (standard battery) is just shy of 1 hour and about 15 minutes. The Acer Aspire One that I own has the 120 GB hard drive and the Windows XP Home Edition operating system. So, if you need longer operating times between plugging in, there is a 6-cell lithium battery option on eBay.
