Sony Laptop Battery Recall: Toshiba, Dell, and HP issue recalls

Today we are hearing that Toshiba, Dell, and Hewlett-Packard (HP) are issuing laptop battery recalls. Sony made these batteries and this recall is a lot smaller (around 100,000) than the battery recall two years ago.
The United States Product Safety Commission has warned laptop users to stop using these batteries right away. HP laptops are the largest laptop vendor affected with around 32,000 and 35,000 of the 100,000 laptop batteries being recalled were shipped to the U.S.
Dell’s laptop battery recall includes: battery model OU091 in Inspiron 5160, 5150, 5100, 1150, 1100, and Latitude 110L laptops.
Toshiba’s laptop battery recall includes: Tecra S2, A5, A3, and Satellite M50/M55, M30X/M35X, P30/P5, and A70/A75 laptops.
HP’s battery recall includes: batteries with a barcode beginning GC, L1, L0, A0, and were shipped with HP Pavilion zd8000, dv8000, and dv1000 models. Also affected Compaq Presario v2400 and v2000 laptops.
HP Compaq models include: nx9600, nx6120, nx6110, nx4820, nx4800, nc6230, nc6220, nc6140, nc6120, and nc6110 computers. Hit the read link below for more details on the recall.

How are you supposed to go about getting a battery replacement if the one in your laptop is recalled? Does the consumer get stuck with paying for a new one?
Where do you get the replacement for battery and who pays the bill for the replacement.
