T-Mobile G1 Phone Unlocked on Video

It has now been a week since the launch of the T-Mobile G1, and the guys over at Unlock T-Mobile G1 have finally been able to unlock the first Google Handset. So looks like you can’t call it a T-Mobile G1 anymore, it will be now as anyone’s G1, got a nice ring to it ah.
If you are the owner of a G1 and have a few minutes to spare as well as $22.99, then you will be able to unlock your handset. If you like AT&T or any other networks of your choice, then watch a video to see how the guys have managed to unlock the latest Smartphone.
There is a scary part to all this, you have to hand of the cash, then you have to hand over your IMEI number, something that many G1 owner will not want to do. You will then receive an eight digit code, this will then free up your bond with T-Mobile.

If you call T-Mobile and ask for your sim unlock code they will ask for your IMEI number under the battery, T-Mobile will email the sim unlock code to you. I have already unlocked mine the next day after I got the G1
