Microsoft Windows 7 vs. Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Microsoft has now unveiled their latest OS, Windows 7 at their annual Professional Developers Conference, which will become the main operating system for PC users. Apple too has unveiled their new software Mac OS X Snow Leopard, which is also under development.

These next-generation operating systems need to be something special as the hardware inside computers are moving at a fast rate, they need an OS that is capable of handling things. Apple has things a little easier that Microsoft, as they are not dogged with stability problems with their previous OS like Windows was with Vista.

Apple has said that Mac OS X Snow Leopard would take a break from offering new features; instead they will focus on performance. Many of us believe that Windows 7 will just be a fix for Vista, but Microsoft deny this and say that Windows 7, they better hope they get it right this time.

Either way you look at it, Apple and Microsoft are in a battle to produce a good OS, but who will come out on top?

well windows 7 does seem pretty appealing…I’m a PC user but I’m planning on buying a mac sometime in the future to try it out. I’ve pretty much given up on XP and am dreading having to get Vista since my computer desperately needs to be replaced. Right now I’m using Xubuntu linux and my experience has been fine thusfar the only real problem I have with it is it’s dependency on the terminal to accomplish basic tasks (i.e installing programs and drivers)
