Asustek Computer, who are better known as ASUS are launching their own version of the Google Android phone, and should be available in the first half of 2009. If rumors are correct, then Asustek will first sell the Google phone under their own brand “ASUS” in the Taiwan market.
If the phone proves successful there, then Asus will then launch customized models for the rest of the world. As yet there are no more details to go on, but it is great to know that a computer maker will build a Google handset. What well they call it, maybe Eee G phone.
If you had the choice of any company producing a Google Android handset, which would you choose. I think that maybe it is time for Microsoft to get into the cell phone business; maybe they might be able to take the fight to Apple and the iPhone.
