Apple Quietly Updating MobileMe
By: Daniel Chubb | October 30, 2008 | Leave a CommentSince late September Apple has been quietly updating MobileMe, the service was introduced in July to replace the .Mac service and from the start it hit many problems that drove users crazy.
We had hundreds of comments from users shortly after the wireless syncing service launched, they reported a number of problems that Apple then attempted to tackle. Yesterday Apple published a support document that detailed the improvements made.
These MobileMe upgrades included improvements to contacts, calendar, mail, and overall performance. The benefit of MobileMe being a cloud-based service means that updates can be made without the users having to take action. Users have also now gained the ability to export vCards from MobileMe contacts, and Internet Explorer users should find things friendlier now.
