Sony PS3 Owners: LittleBigPlanet online problems?

It was a big day for LittleBigPlanet a couple of days ago, as their servers went live. For those of you who were lucky enough to get hold of the game early have been able to play this Sony PS3 game without the community features for a few weeks now, but you are now finally able to go online.

Now that the LittleBigPlanet servers are up, you can now publish your own level as well as play with other users. LBP does sound very good, but there are a few problems that have now come to the surface.

A number of these problems include people stealing levels, trophy level problems, people uploading unfinished/broken/test levels. Other problems include people asking for the Kratos costume code all the time, and finally the big one, the servers can’t cope.

    For some reason, the servers get hammered after 10 or 11.

    I still haven’t been able to get online but I’m sure the kinks will be worked out within a week or so.

    yeah, the servers are OK until the Yank Shift, around 9pm when all the kids and workers get home and fire up the game, it turns into a total lagfest then and really is just worth disconnecting from the PSN and playing the game/getting back to level design offline after that. problems include freezing for minutes at a time, levels taking ages to load, connection problems with other gamers, i’ve had 2 corrupted savefiles so far and my Kratos DLC doesn’t show up in game….

    apart from that it’s a good game. can we ditch the global servers, the americans are ruining it for the rest of us who got the game super early (i’m in the UK and have had it since the 22nd) i’d be quite happy to wait to go online for another week or so if it meant i got a better quality of service. i shudder to think how borked this is going to be once Europe and japan start hitting the servers.

    Dude, the only reason why the wii has sold so many is because of the price tag. When parents go out and buy little jimmy a gaming console, all they see is the price tag.

    Please. Don’t start.

    And ALL Xbox and PS3 fanboys will agree to that FACT.

    I’m wondering why i cant get on to the server! i try to but then it says theres a prob with it. What should i do??

    Online game play is terrible! Feels like an open beta more than a polished game experience…. Frustrating, laggy, maps often fail to load, sometimes you lock-up picking the next map, etc.

    Not happy with online play at all. Other online games work great in comparison, so it is not my setup…
