No BlackBerry Open Source OS Confirmed by RIM

When it comes to a cell phones operating system it is one of their biggest features, one that they do not like to share. However; this has not stopped the likes of Android, the Symbian Foundation, and the LiMo Foundation from making their OS an Open Source.
As Android have just joined the Open Source party, you would have thought that Blackberry’s Waterloo would now become an Open Source, but RIM still do not have any such plan to do this, you have to wonder why this is.
At a recent RIM developer conference, a number of these devs did express an interest on getting their hands on the BlackBerry OS. RIM has said that they are thinking of releasing the code for some of their developer tools, but that is as far as they are willing to go.
