This is World Heroes Anthology for the Sony Playstation 2 and while it was released in the US March 11, 2008, the UK will see this classic collection on 31 Oct 2008.
World Heroes Anthology is on one disc but has the complete collection of World Heroes; these games were SNK’s most popular 2D fighting series. While I have memories of these games from the Arcade days, many gamers will not and that may be a problem for some people.

The package includes four games: World Heroes Perfect, World Heroes Jet, World Heroes 2, and of course the first World Heroes. You get to play as one of 56 characters and like many of these games (Street Fighter), you will use hand-to-hand combat and special attacks tailored to each character.
World Heroes Anthology is made surprisingly well with the games being exact arcade port overs, and if you are a Street Fighter fan then you will enjoy this series.

The controls are very easy to master and I love the idea of power of hits being determined on how hard you press the buttons. The death match modes are cool and they take place in a ring with many different items coming into play (like land mines).

While the basic moves are easy to use, you may find the ultimate special moves a problem and this is likely to take many hours to master. You will get a moves list for each character and a practice mode to perfect your fighting.
While new age gamers may not get these games, anyone with memories of these classics will want World Heroes Anthology in their gaming collection.

You can view a video showing gameplay below this post.
