NanoVibronix is a new medical device which has been approved by the FDA, allowing the PainShield MD to come on to the market. The new device is used to treat pain, and is the first hands-free, patch-based device.
The device uses ultrasound treatment to ease pain and will also heal soft tissue. The PainShield has a disposable patch which is connected to a portable reusable driver; this then propagates therapeutic ultrasound waves to the desired part of the body.
NanoVibronix President and CEO, Dr. Harold Jacob has said that being granted FDA approval is a huge milestone for them. Some of the pain relief that the device can help with includes, tendonitis, other musculoskeletal disorders, and post operative pain.

This is very good news! I have heard about such alternative pain treatment as electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), which places electrodes on the skin thus emitting a low-voltage electrical charge for blocking pain signals to the brain. Now if FDA approved NanoVibronix propagating ultrasound waves, that must be a new step in medical science in treatment of pain.
