CodeWeavers offers free software today thanks to George Bush
By: Peter Chubb | October 28, 2008 | Leave a CommentOctober 28, 2008 is not a great day for CodeWeavers, as they have to fulfill a promise to offer free software for every American. There are many things that we can thank for this free software, like falling gas prices, the global economy, and mostly George W. Bush.
Back in July CodeWeaver launched the Great American Lame Duck Presidential Challenge, where the company encouraged President Bush to accomplish a major economic or political goal by 2009, and it seems that he has done just that.
The Lame Duck challenge wanted Bush to make positive accomplishments in those areas, one of which was to bring down the price of a gallon of gas to $2.79, and on October 14 that target price was reached in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
