Sony PSP 3000 Recall

Could we be in for a Sony PSP 3000 Recall? This is the question that has been raised after QJ Net reports that nearly everything to do with the PSP-3000 has vanished from the PSP section of Sony’s official PlayStation EU site.

If you check out the site for yourself you will find no smell of PSP 3000 in the hardware section, but if you run a search you can find some information. This includes some press releases and a news item dated October 15.

This has got many gamers wondering why the previous PSP 3000 items have been removed; do we have a recall for PSP-3000 on the way? We know a few new PSP owners have complained about interlacing issues, is this Sony taking action? Share your thoughts in the comments or hit the read link for more info.

Curious if this is related I bought a psp a few days ago and when I go to ask sony via contact us it gives an 500 internal server error, I think they disabled there help section to stop a torrent of angry emails about there psp 3000. Oh and it has been down for at least 5 days now possibly longer.

I just rang sony australia, spoke to the first lady she had no idea what a psp screen line problem is and was abit behind with the problem.
second lady after i rang back mention the screen line problem is normal and she didnt want to say yes or no for the recall…

fingers cross hope there is one because my 2000model broke.
